At HerEco Ventures, we believe capital should be a force for inclusive, impactful and sustainable change. Our investment thesis is simple: when resources are directed intentionally toward underserved founders and planet-positive innovation, they unlock outsized economic and community returns.
Six commitments that shape who we engage with and how we invest capital
We back founders who treat the planet as a stakeholder. Environmental mindfulness must be architected into the business model from day one as a commitment that shows up in every decision, every metric, every hire.
Sustainability is the floor, not the ceiling. We look for solutions where restoring ecosystems, closing material loops, and reducing environmental burden are built into how the business creates value.
We make decisions with future generations in mind. We back companies whose impact deepens as they scale — where growth and purpose move in the same direction.
What gets measured gets managed. We invest in companies where purpose drives the business model. It's embedded in the product, the pricing, the path to growth.
Capital should open doors. We back founders building solutions that are accessible, affordable, and designed to reach the people who need them most.
The most overlooked founders are often the most innovative. We seek out women and underrepresented entrepreneurs whose lived experience is the competitive advantage that drives better business.
HerEco Ventures invests at the pre-seed and seed stages, with a preference for Canadian-founded, Canadian-resident companies. We align our investments with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and we're looking for founders who do too. If you're building something rooted in stewardship, inclusion, and lasting impact — we want to talk

At HerEco Ventures Inc, we acknowledge with gratitude that our land and waters are the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki, the Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), the Attiwonderonk (Neutral), and the Mississauga peoples. This includes the treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
We are committed to expanding our circle and learning more about growing our relationship with this place. It honours the deep, enduring connections that Indigenous nations have always held with these forests, wetlands, and creatures. We hope that our stewardship, guided by both care and continued learning, help nurture these lands and waters for generations to come.
