Our Founder

Anne Marie Bianchi CPA, CA

Anne Marie is a CPA, CA with over three decades of experience in finance and operations. As the owner and operator of a structural steel fabrication company, she led both the finance and IT departments.

Drawing on that experience, Anne Marie founded HerEco Ventures to improve access to capital for entrepreneurs driving innovation in social and environmental spaces.

Outside of work, Anne Marie is an animal lover who enjoys spending time with her dog and cat and volunteering to protect local turtle habitats. As a lifelong learner and avid reader, she also has a passion for travel, food, and supporting the arts.

Our Why

THE ORIGIN

It started with climate. HerEco Ventures wanted to back the innovations in cleantech that could actually harness real planetary solutions.

Anne Marie found that some founders building those solutions, were being systematically overlooked. This wasn't a funding problem. It was a bias problem.

Having faced gender discrimination at various points in her career, Anne Marie knew firsthand what it meant to offer perspectives free from that kind of bias.

So HEV grew to hold two lenses at once: planetary health and human equity. The SDGs gave us the language to hold both.

HEV supports the Sustainable Development Goals  ·  UN SDG icons used in accordance with UN guidelines

SDG 13 - Climate Action

The entry point. HEV backs innovations for which reducing environmental burden isn't a future aspiration; it's a current operating reality, measurable from day one

SDG 3 - Good Health & Well-being

Impact on people and impact on planet are inseparable in the HEV worldview

SDG 5 - Gender Equality

Backing female founders isn't just a preference. It's an active contribution to closing the gender gap in capital access and economic leadership.

SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities

Closing the funding gap for underrepresented founders is one of the most direct levers for reducing systemic inequality. Every HerEco investment is a deliberate act of capital redistribution — putting resources in the hands of builders who have historically been passed over.

SDG 11 - Sustainable Communities

We back ventures that act as bridges, delivering accessible, community-centered solutions where the need is greatest.

At HerEco Ventures Inc, we acknowledge with gratitude that our land and waters are the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki, the Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), the Attiwonderonk (Neutral), and the Mississauga peoples. This includes the treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

We are committed to expanding our circle and learning more about growing our relationship with this place. It honours the deep, enduring connections that Indigenous nations have always held with these forests, wetlands, and creatures. We hope that our stewardship, guided by both care and continued learning, help nurture these lands and waters for generations to come.
